Emma Haagen,Nick van der Velde,Casper van der Meer and Juan David Martin are members of teamfourD and students from Delft University of Technology. They are working on Indian based project about the development of a water-pumping windmill and the launch of Chakardi Salt; a fair trade salt brand, business and product. The windmill supports the salt farmer by pumping water using wind energy. It replaces current pumping systems like expensive and polluting diesel engines or labour-intensive hand pumps. Chakardi’s Salt business generates a surplus of profit which is used to finance the windmill project as well as its own business..

TeamfourD worked at VentureStudio to participate in the windmill project at Ahmedabad University to design a mindmill that is adapted to the needs of local farmers in Gujarat, India.
